Projects: Westfield Park, Hook
Westfield Park Care Home is an existing single storey 45 bed (23 nursing and 22 Dementia) home with an exceptionally high standard of care situated just outside the village of Hook which lies north east of Goole. The site had the benefit of outline planning approval and Fluid Designs appointment on this project was to design a new three storey 65 bed care home, achieve full planning approval, achieve building regulations approval, produce the construction drawings, a bespoke joinery package and administer the contract through to project completion.
The building is essentially ‘T’ shaped and creates two new courtyards between the new and existing homes. The design of the elevations takes cues from the existing buildings on the site and maintains the traditional style of brick with a pitched tiled roof. Internal features include a resident lounge bar, café/shop, beauty therapy room, gymnasium and cinema room. In addition to the 53 en-suite bedrooms 6 two bedroom premium suites are provided. The building recently received practical completion and the home opened at the end of February 2013.
Project value: £3.5m
Client Testimony: “We have worked with Fluid Design Associates for our last two New Build Care Home projects, where they saw the sites through to completion. We have also worked on other sites with Andrew and Matt, gaining planning permission for three other Care Homes.
They have a fantastic understanding of Healthcare Design, given their extensive experience in the sector, and provide a detailed and committed service throughout the development. We would recommend speaking with Fluid Design should you have any upcoming Healthcare projects”.
