The property, known as The Centurion, comprises a purpose built 1960’s community public house on ground and first floors. The ground floor has substantial single storey extensions under flat roofs. The property occupies a large rectangular site of approximately half an acre.
The proposal is for the redevelopment of the site to provide nine 3 bedroom two storey dwellings in three separate blocks of three units. There are two blocks of three facing the Leach Road / Kingsclere Road frontage and a block of three facing the Ashdene Road frontage. 20 parking spaces are provided of which 16 are provided in a ‘courtyard’ car park via the existing (adjusted) access off Ashdene Road and 4 spaces are accessed directly off Ashdene Road.
The scheme achieved full Planning Approval in March 2014.
